LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Westside Entertainment Center Associates, lessor and operator of the ABC Entertainment Center in Century City, has filed a voluntary petition for Chapter 11 reorganization in U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

The announcement was made by Marc A. Beilinson, an attorney of Pachulski, Stang, Ziehl & Young, representing Westside Entertainment.

According to Beilinson, the voluntary filing is a result of costly litigation from a legal dispute.

"The Chapter 11 filing will not affect the operaton of the Center or the business of tenants in any way," said Beilinson. "Westside Entertainment is optimistic about resolving its legal dispute quickly and efficiently and will continue to provide the highest level of service to Center occupants."

Westside Entertainment is a California partnership with offices at 2040 Avenue of the Stars in Century City. The ABC Entertainment Center has a 97 percent occupancy rate, one of the highest rates for Westside commercial real estate.

Pachulski, Stang, Ziehl & Young represents major constituencies in bankruptcy cases and out-of-court workouts. The firm has represented major positions in high-profile matters such as First Capital Holding Corp., Fries Entertainment, Qintex Entertainment, Pioneer Take-Out Corp., FundAmerica and HomeFed Corp.
